I have been seeing breakfast pizza everywhere, especially Pinterest so I decided to try a version but with a couple of changes. Most recipes use crescent dough and I thought...it's a pizza....it needs pizza crust 🤣 So let me know what y'all think!
Ingredients
1 refrigerated pizza crust (I used Great Value 13.8 oz)
1 packet of white gravy mix (I used Pioneer Country Sausage Gravy packet, 2.75 oz)
2 cups of water
1 package of precooked turkey sausage crumbles (I used Butterball turkey sausage crumbles 8 oz, found in the refrigerated section with the sausage)
1 Tbsp of butter
6 eggs
Salt and pepper
About 2 Tbsps of milk
Grated cheddar cheese, about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Grated Mozzarella cheese, about a 1/4 to 1/2 cup
Clues
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Spread your pizza crust out on a baking sheet to your desired thickness and back for about 10 minutes, or until just starting to brown. Remove from oven.
While the crust is prepping, make your gravy mix. Bring 1.5 cups of water to a boil. Combine packet with a half cup of cool water, mixing until no lumps. Pour mixture into boiling water and whisk until thickened. Turn off the heat and mix in the sausage crumbles.
Heat a medium skillet of medium heat and melt 1 Tbsp of butter. Crack eggs in a bowl. Add salt and pepper and a splash to 2 Tbsps of milk. Add to the skillet and stir/fold gently until cooked through.
Pour gravy mixture over crust and spread almost to the edge. Sprinkle eggs evenly over the top. Top with both cheeses.
Bake in oven until cheese melts, about 3 to 5 minutes. Top with parsley or chives and enjoy!
